Is saying “All politicians are corrupt” sufficient justification for any one of them being corrupt?

TomT asked:

All too often we hear supporters of both sides resort to accusing the other of what they them self are being accused without responding to the question or accusation. Seems to me a childhood playground type mentality. So, the more direct question is; Do you honestly think that a response to an attack on your candidate which does not respond to that attack, but attacks the other side is productive and do you honestly think it causes you to appear as intelligent as you might be? …and please, if you don’t understand the question and can’t respond intelligently - please don’t respond at all. Thanks!

No, it isn’t productive and it does sound childish, but when a valid argument isn’t available it’s the only response you’ll get.
    Aggravating.

The issues and see how many of each politicians plans might actually be put into action even then.

Yes, the playground mentality of our politicians is getting ridiculous. No, by not responding directly to the accusation makes you look like you do not know what is going on or you need to have a good cover story.
I just heard on the radio that Obama will address the Blago situation in a few days. Gee, I thought he said that a few weeks ago. He must need a lot of time to get his story straight.
