Seeing as William ‘Boss’ Tweed was part of the Democrat’s Tammany Hall escapade in New York in the 1860-1880 era, it really has no effect on today, with the exception that the same machine that allowed the corruption to exist then, viz., press cover-up and party singularity in Congress, exist now, there is a high degree of corruption in today’s politics.
This is how it works. A politician gets elected, and then gets re-elected. And after a few re-election cycles, he/she gets to assume that they are owed this re-election. Ted Kennedy and Tom Petri and John Kerry and numerous others line this list. But it can be stopped if we stop sending them back each and every time they run.
They spend money that is not theirs, and that leads to corruption, They tax us and set the rates by which we are taxed, and that leads to corruption. They tell us that what we do is illegal, then do it themselves, and get re-elected, and that gives corruption. Hell, they get away with MURDER (Edward M. Kennedy) and still get sent back.
    Need I say more?

Causes s3x, which breeds cynicism. Just ask Bill Clinton…he had s3x, and now his wife is cynical…or is that, sin-ical? it’s a great revolving cycle. I”m getting dizzy….
